Evaluation of previous coursework (Transfers/moves from other courses, second degrees, withdrawal from studies and loss of student status)

Procedure of transfer of previous credits/recognition for students who have transferred or changed course, or result as withdrawn/expired and wish to enrol

For the degree programme in Business Economics L-18:

for students from degree courses in class L-18 and class 17 (ante MD 509/99), recognition of credits acquired will be total and automatically approved, provided that the previous course content form part of the study plan of the new course, belong to the same disciplinary scientific sector, and have the same number of credits (and possibly hours of teaching provided); a difference of no more than two academic credits can also be recognised.

Exams passed, and not recognised among the compulsory exams envisaged by the study plan, may be automatically approved as "electives" for a maximum of 12 credits provided they belong to the disciplinary fields of the course area.

In the event of a request for recognition of exams taken in a different degree category, the committee reserves the right to examine the curricula to identify their congruence or relevance to the educational objective. In all cases, the committee takes into consideration credits and disciplinary sectors.

The recognition of training credits allows enrolment in years subsequent to the first; enrolment in the second year is subject to recognition of at least 50% of the university credits envisaged for the first year of the study plan; enrolment in the third year of the chosen degree course is subject to recognition of at least 50% of the university credits envisaged for the previous years of the study plan.

 

For degree programme in Tourism Management and Marketing L-15:

for students from degree courses in class L-15 and class 30 (ante MD 509/99), recognition of credits acquired will be total and automatically approved, provided that the previous course content form part of the study plan of the new course, belong to the same disciplinary scientific sector, and have the same number of credits (and possibly hours of teaching provided); a difference of no more than two academic credits can also be recognised.

For the Master’s degree in Business Administration and Human Resource Management LM-77:

for all the curricula of the master's degree in Business Administration and Human Resource Management LM-77, the following may be officially recognised:

- exams taken in the master's degree Business Administration LM-77 of the UPO provided they have the same denomination, the same number of credits and the same disciplinary sector;

- exams taken in the master's degree in Management and Finance LM-77 of the UPO curricula: Marketing and Operations Management and Finance provided they have the same denomination, the same number of credits and the same disciplinary sector;

-    exams taken in Master's degree categories other than LM-77, as "electives", for a maximum of 8 credits; exams passed and not recognised among the compulsory exams envisaged by the study plan, provided they belong to the disciplinary fields of the course.

In all the above cases, exams may be recognised with a difference of not more than two academic credits.

In the event of a request for recognition of exams taken in master's degree classes other than the LM-77 as compulsory exams, the committee reserves the right to examine the curricula to identify their congruence or relevance to the educational objective. In all cases, the committee takes into consideration credits and disciplinary sector.

The recognition of training credits allows enrolment in years subsequent to the first; enrolment in the second year is subject to approval of at least 50% of the university credits envisaged for the first year of the study plan.

For the Master’s degree in Management and Finance LM-77:

the committee reserves the right to examine the curricula to identify their congruence or relevance to the educational objective. In all cases, the committee takes into consideration credits and disciplinary sector.

The recognition of training credits allows enrolment in years subsequent to the first; enrolment in the second year is subject to approval of at least 50% of the university credits envisaged for the first year of the study plan.

 

For the single cycle Master’s degree in Law:

the committee reserves the right to examine the curricula to identify their congruence or relevance to the educational objective, taking into consideration academic credits and disciplinary sector. In all the aforementioned cases, after formal enrolment, the student must send the request to the DISEI Student Secretariat by filling in the "Transfer and changes request form" at the following link:  https://sia.uniupo.it/studenti/

The office will upload a €16 stamp duty bill to the student's personal On-Line Services page, to be paid as soon as possible. In the absence of payment, the request will not be followed up; this fee does not have to be paid in the event of a change of course within the University since it is paid by the student when submitting the transfer application to the Student Secretariat.
